Description

Bridge Number 27 is an accommodation bridge, likely built around 1815 for the Grand Junction Canal Company. It is constructed of brick and features a single arch. The bridge has parapets with bullnosed brick copings and square piers at each end topped with ashlar copings. There is a raised brick string course located below the parapet. This bridge is included in the listing as a complete example of a canal bridge.
