Description
Manor Cottage is a house dating from the late 16th century and mid 19th century, with restorations in the 20th century. It features a box timber frame with brick and rendered infill panels, topped by a thatched roof. The building has an L-shape plan and is two storeys high. The main front has a two-window range with 20th-century casements, some exposed braces, and a brick stack at the ridge. The rear wing, which is likely from the mid 17th century, is similar in style. On the left side of the main front, there is a 20th-century door and a 17th-century window with diagonal wood mullions. Some of the rendered panels may still have wattle and daub infill. The interior has not been inspected, but the two bays facing the road may represent a late 16th-century open hall with a later central stack.
