This is a 19th-century milepost made of cast iron, located beside the towpath of the Grand Union Canal near the junction with the Northampton arm. It is inscribed with the following details: "G.U.C.C/BRAUNSTON/163/4 MILES/NORTHAMPTON/5 MILES."
