Description
Grange Farmhouse is a house that was formerly a farmhouse, built in the early 19th century and altered in the 20th century. It features coursed squared limestone, a slate roof, and brick stacks at the ends and ridge. The building has a three-unit plan and is two stories high with a five-window range. The main front faces the garden to the south and includes six-panel doors on either side of the center. The door on the left is set in a decorative cast-iron porch that has anthemion ornament, cresting, and a curved lead roof, while the door on the right has a rendered head. There are 16-pane sash windows on both the ground and first floors, also with rendered heads. A moulded brick eaves cornice adds to the architectural detail. Inside, there is a narrow open-well staircase featuring stick balusters, carved tread ends, and a ramped and wreathed mahogany handrail.
