Description
Dicks Farm is a cottage, dated around 1701, that is currently used as an outbuilding located approximately 5 meters behind the farmhouse. The building is constructed from coursed squared ironstone and features a corrugated iron roof with a stone end stack at the rear. It has a one-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a one-window range. The gable end facing the farmhouse includes a plank door on the left, which has a moulded wood surround and a timber lintel. There is a small square window with a timber lintel on the first floor, and a worn datestone in the gable inscribed with ICD/1701. The front has stone coped gables with kneelers. Inside, there is an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer. Although the floor has been removed, the roof structure remains intact. This cottage is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
