Description
The memorial cross, located in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, was constructed around 1877. It is made of limestone and features an octagonal tapered shaft that stands on a triple-stepped octagonal plinth. The base of the shaft includes small figures of saints, while the cross itself is foliated. At the top step of the base, there is a shield with arms, and the inscription on the risers of the middle step reads "IN MEMORIAM CHARLES DOUGLAS MARQUIS OF NORTHAMPTON THEODOSIA HARRIET ELIZABETH." This memorial commemorates the 3rd Marquis and Marchioness Theodosia.
