Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 17th century, with alterations made in 1843. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone and features a slate roof with stone end stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and stands three storeys high with a three-window range. The central entrance is a 20th-century door set within a stone porch that has Ionic columns and an entablature, topped by a stone lintel with a key block.
On the ground and first floors, there are three-light chamfered stone mullion windows on either side of the porch, while the centre of the first floor and the second floor have two-light windows, all of which are adorned with hood moulds. The base of the farmhouse features two bands of ironstone, with ironstone quoins at the corners. The gables over the bays to the left and right of the centre are stone-coped, and each has a tall one-light window with a moulded stone surround. The gable end walls retain the original roofline and walling, which is also banded with ironstone.
