Description
Park House is a house from the mid-18th century, built of coursed squared ironstone with plain tile roofs and stone end stacks. It has an L-shaped plan and consists of two storeys and an attic, featuring a five-window range. There is a six-panel door located to the right of the centre, framed by a pilastered timber surround with a straight hood. The building has 20th-century aluminium window units throughout, which are set in stone sills and lintels with keyblocks. The gable over the right end bay has a two-window range facing the garden, which also features similar windows, with the ground floor windows being wider. The exterior includes a plinth, moulded stone eaves, and stone-coped gables with kneelers. There are two roof dormers on the front and one on the right side elevation. A single-storey 20th-century extension is attached to the left of the main front. Inside, the house has stone flagged floors, stop-chamfered spine beams, an open fireplace with a moulded bressumer that may be medieval and reused, a bread oven, and an open well staircase with turned balusters.
