Description
This building is a cottage located at 2 Rose Hall Lane, dating from the 17th to 18th century. It is constructed from uncoursed limestone and ironstone rubble, topped with an artificial stone slate roof and flanked by brick stacks. The cottage has one storey and an attic, featuring two bays. The left bay includes a three-light casement window with a wooden lintel, while the right bay has a smaller two-light casement window, also with a wooden lintel. There are gabled half dormers, which were remodeled in the 20th century, each containing two-light wooden casements. The entrance is located at the rear and features a wooden lintel above a part-glazed 20th-century door. Inside, there is an original newel staircase to the right of the entrance, and part of the original roof structure remains intact.
