Description

Manor House, dating from 1664, is constructed of squared coursed lias with a 20th-century concrete tile roof. It was originally likely L-shaped. The main front has two dormers per bay, each featuring a three-light stone mullioned window with an ashlar parapet; the ground floor windows are 20th-century casements. A cross wing to the right has a similar dormer. Gabled roofs are topped with ashlar gable parapets, with brick and stone stacks at the ridge and end. A datestone is present in the left-hand dormer. The right-hand elevation has a two-window range of three-light stone mullioned windows. A 19th-century wing, built in a matching style, was added to the garden front, incorporating a main entrance with a four-centred head and a 19th-century ribbed door. Inside, the rooms of the 17th-century wing retain chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. The kitchen in the cross wing has the remains of an open fireplace with a bressumer. A 19th-century staircase with decorative newels is located in the hall. 19th-century fireplaces are found throughout the first-floor rooms and a ground floor room to the right of the hall.
