Description

This artificial ruin, located approximately 15 meters southeast of Merryhill House, dates from around 1850 and incorporates medieval architectural details. Constructed from sandstone, the ruin is designed in an L-plan. It features a 14th-century two-light window with geometrical tracery in the north wall and a 14th-century doorway with a pointed single chamfered arch in the west wall. The medieval elements are believed to have been sourced from All Saints Church in Braunston, which was rebuilt in 1849. The ruin is included in the listing for its group value.
