Description

This is a house, likely dating to the 17th century, with significant remodelling in the early 18th century and a later extension of two bays to the right. The house is constructed from coursed limestone and ironstone rubble, with a tile roof and brick stacks. It is two storeys and an attic, with six bays in total. A doorway is located in the third bay from the left and has a wooden lintel and a 20th-century door. There is a 2-light casement window in a plain stone surround with an old iron casement in the left bay. The second bay from the left has a 2-light casement window with a wooden lintel. A blocked one-light window with a moulded stone surround is visible to the right of the entrance. Further to the right is a 2-light casement window with a wooden lintel, and a one-light window with a wooden lintel in the right bay. The first floor features 2-light casement windows with stone lintels incorporating keyblocks, with the window in the second bay from the right being blocked. The building has a nogged brick cornice and coped gable ends with kneelers. The interior has not been inspected. An attached wall, likely dating to the 18th century, extends from the right side of the house and is constructed of coursed limestone and ironstone rubble with a tile coping.
