Description
The Mill House is a house, probably dating from the 17th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone and ironstone rubble, topped with a wood shingle roof and featuring brick stacks. The building is L-shaped and has two storeys with four bays, including a gabled bay on the left.
The doorway, located in the third bay from the left, has a 20th-century timber porch and a plank door with a wood lintel above it. To the right of the doorway, there is a two-light casement window with a wood lintel. The left bay contains a one-light window with a wood lintel, while the second and third bays from the left feature three-light casement windows, each with wood lintels, on both the ground and first floors. On the first floor, there is a small two-light casement window with a wood lintel in the second bay from the right.
A carriage entrance occupies the full height of the right bay, featuring a wood lintel and double plank doors. Inside, the house has stop-chamfered spine beams, an original roof structure, and an open fireplace with a blocked bread oven.
