Description

This is a late 18th-century house, formerly an inn, located on London Road. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone with a plain tile roof, featuring brick end and ridge stacks. The house has a two-story, four-window facade and a two-unit plan. The ground floor has a 20th-century door set in a moulded wooden surround with a hood supported by brackets, flanked by two-light 20th-century casement windows with stone lintels and keyblocks. A carriage and pedestrian arch is located on the far right, featuring depressed-arched heads. The first floor windows are predominantly two-light 20th-century casement windows, with a single-light window positioned above the carriage arch. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the listing for its group value, contributing to the character of the surrounding area.
