Description
Iron railings and gates at the entrance to the Baptist Chapel date from the 18th or 19th century. They are set on a low wall made of coursed squared ironstone. The spear-headed iron railings are divided into six bays by iron posts topped with pineapple finials. The main entrance is located in the third bay from the left and features a gate at pavement level, with similar railings and flanking posts, leading to three stone steps that are connected to the main railings by an iron balustrade. There is also a side entrance in the right bay that has similar gates. The railings and gates are included for their group value.
