Description
No. 46 High Street is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century, constructed from coursed ironstone rubble with a slate roof and flanking brick stacks. The building has two storeys and two bays. The entrance, located to the right of the centre, features a wooden lintel and a four-panel half-glazed door. To the right of the entrance is a three-light casement window with a wooden lintel, while a similar two-light window is situated to the left. On the first floor, there are two-light casement windows, also with wooden lintels, which display remains of moulded stone frames, likely from the 17th century. The right gable end is coped and includes kneelers. The interior has not been inspected. This cottage is included for its group value.
