Description
This is a 17th-century house located at 1 Lees Way in Geddington. The building features coursed limestone rubble construction, with a thatched roof on the right slope and slate on the left. It has a coped gable, a moulded stone ridge stack, and a brick end stack. The gable end faces the street and includes a four-light ovolo-moulded stone mullioned window with a casement-moulded cornice on the ground floor, and a similar three-light window above. There is also a sundial in the gablet. The right flank of the house has been altered and contains two 20th-century doors with wooden lintels, but it still retains a three-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned window with a cornice on the ground floor, along with two eyebrow dormers above, which include a two-light and a single-light gudgeon-hung iron-framed casement window. The interior has been altered as well.
