Description

This is a mid-to-late 18th-century and 19th-century house located on the west side of High Street in Brigstock. The house is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a Collyweston slate roof. The building follows a three-unit plan and extends over two storeys with an attic. Originally it had a three-window front, now featuring 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars, all set under wooden lintels. Three 19th-century gabled eaves dormers are visible. The roof has ashlar gable parapets and brick and ashlar stacks positioned at the ridge and ends. The rear elevation mirrors the front, with some renewed lintels and two 20th-century doors situated between the window ranges. Inside, the rooms on the left and right sides feature open fireplaces with bressumers, and all rooms have ceiling beams.
