Description

This is a house, now divided into two dwellings, built in the early to mid-18th century and raised in the 19th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a Collyweston slate roof. The front of the building has three windows, which are 19th-century casement windows. The first-floor windows are topped with 19th-century stone lintels and small gablets. Two ground-floor windows on the left have scored stone lintels with keyblocks and ashlar surrounds; the window to the right has a shallow brick arch. Two doors are located to the right of the centre. The left door is a 19th-century plank door and the right one is 20th-century, both set within shallow brick arches. Ashlar stacks are visible at the ridge and end of the building. The interiors were not inspected. The house was converted into two dwellings in the 19th century by the Biggin Hall estate. It is included in the list for its group value.
