Description
This is a house located at 25 Upper Benefield, dating from the late 18th century and mid 19th century. It is constructed from squared coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. The original design was a two-unit plan. The building has two storeys, with a two-window range on the ground floor and a one-window range on the first floor. The windows are 19th-century casements, some of which have leaded lights, and are set under wooden lintels. The central entrance is a 19th-century plank door, also under a wooden lintel. The house has an ashlar gable parapet and an ashlar stack on the right side. There is a 19th-century single-unit extension attached at right angles to the right side of the house. The rear elevation mirrors the front, with a two-window range at ground floor and a one-window range at first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
