Description
Druids is a house dated 1791, with extensions from the mid 19th century and 20th century. It is built of squared coursed limestone and features a roof made of 20th-century artificial slate and pantiles. The original design was a two-unit plan and the house has two storeys. The front has a two-window range of casements with glazing bars on the first floor, and 19th-century style casements on the ground floor, all set beneath wooden lintels. There is a central 20th-century door with a stone porch. Brick and ashlar stacks are located at both ends of the building. Above the door, there is a datestone on a plaque featuring a diamond center panel. To the left, there is a single-storey 19th-century extension with a pantile roof, along with further extensions to the rear from the 19th and 20th centuries. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have remains of an open fireplace. The building is included for its group value.
