Description

This is a barn and attached stable located approximately 15 meters southeast of The Old Farmhouse in Easton on the Hill. The barn dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a Collyweston slate roof. It features five bays and a central entrance that is topped with a wooden lintel. There are two tiers of triangular ventilation holes. The stable, which is attached to the right of the barn, may be older and has a steeper pitched roof, with a stable door located in the gable end. Inside, the barn has 18th-century roof structures with staggered purlins.
