Description
This is a barn with an attached cartshed, located approximately 50 meters northeast of the Manor House in Warmington. The barn has a datestone from 1716 and was restored in the 19th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. The barn is a single unit with a central porch and has three bays of ventilation slits on either side of the porch. The pitch holes next to the porch are now blocked. The central cart entrance does not have doors, while there is a plank door in the return wall of the porch. The porch has a hipped roof and ashlar gable parapets at both ends. The rear elevation also has a central cart entrance with plank doors and pitch holes flanking it, which also have plank doors. The ventilation slits on the rear are similar to those on the front. A datestone is located in the left gable. Attached to the right of the main front are sheds with an open front supported by brick piers. The interior was not inspected, but the roof is likely a 19th-century restoration.
