Description

Home Farm Cottage is a farmhouse located on Peterborough Road in Warmington. It dates from the early 19th century and was extended in the early 20th century. The building is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof, with an L-shaped plan. The main front has a three-window range of 19th-century casements set under flat stone arches, with a central panelled door also beneath a similar arch. The gable ends have ashlar parapets and brick and stone stacks. The rear wing has been extended and altered in the early 20th century. Inside, there are simple early 19th-century fireplaces with flanking arched recesses in the rooms to the left and right of the entrance, and a staircase rises between these rooms. The cottage is included for its group value.
