Description
Glebe House is a late 16th-century house located on Hautboy Lane in Warmington. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a 20th-century plain-tile roof. The house was originally designed with a two-unit lobby-entry plan and is a single storey with an attic. The façade has a two-window range of casements set under wooden lintels, and there is a gabled eaves dormer on the left side. To the left of center, there is a 20th-century door beneath a wooden lintel, which is sheltered by an early 20th-century porch. A central brick stack from the 19th century is also present. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have two open fireplaces with bressumers and a first-floor fireplace featuring a cambered bressumer with double ogee-moulding. Additionally, there is a moulded cross beam in the room to the left of the entrance. The house was known as the Vicarage House in 1621.
