Description

This is a house dating from the early and mid 19th century. It is constructed from squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate and 20th-century plain tile roofs. Originally designed as a two-unit plan, the house has a four-window facade of irregular sash windows with glazing bars, all set beneath wooden lintels. The central two bays project slightly as a single-storey, rendered porch with a lean-to roof. A part-glazed door is located in the right-hand return wall of the porch. Ashlar gable parapets and brick stacks mark the ends of the building. A 19th-century one-bay extension to the left features a 19th-century style casement window on the ground floor and a 20th-century plain tile roof. The rear elevation is similar, with some unhorned sash windows. A 20th-century single-storey extension is present to the right. The interior was noted to contain spine beams with run-out stops, although it has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
