Description
This fountain, located approximately 70 meters east of the east front of Drayton House, was created around 1846 by the architect W.E. Nesfield for William and Caroline Stopford-Sackville. It features a large ashlar urn set on a circular plinth, with a lead branched sprinkler rising from the center. The fountain was originally part of a parterre designed by Nesfield in the mid-19th century and is situated along the main east/west axis of the east front of Drayton House. The gardens surrounding it are included in the Historic England Register of Parks and Gardens at grade I.
