Description

Number 64 and 66, known as Rosary Farmhouse, is a pair of houses dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. They are constructed from banded limestone ashlar and squared coursed limestone, topped with a Collyweston slate roof. The buildings originally featured 2- and 3-unit plans and stand two storeys tall with an attic.

The front has a four-window arrangement of six-paned, unhorned sash windows, each with gauged stone heads and keyblocks. To the left of the centre, there is a six-panel door with a rectangular fanlight that has glazing bars, surrounded by a moulded wood frame with roundels and a pediment. To the right of the centre, another six-panel door also features a rectangular fanlight with radiating glazing bars, set beneath a gauged stone head with a keyblock. The structure includes a chamfered plinth and a moulded stone cornice.

There are three hipped roof dormers, two of which retain remnants of leaded casements. The gable ends are finished with ashlar parapets, and there are remnants of ashlar ridge and end stacks. Attached to the left is a stable that has a chamfered plinth, a hipped roof, and a central ashlar stack. The rear elevation includes stable and hayloft doors. Although the interiors were not inspected, they are noted to have contemporary fittings.
