Description
Glebe Farmhouse, now a house, dates from the 17th and 18th centuries, with 19th-century alterations. It is built of regularly coursed limestone and has a Collyweston slate roof. The original layout was likely a two-unit plan, but it has been modified to a three-unit plan. The building has two storeys and features an irregular three-window range of 19th-century casement windows with wooden lintels; the first-floor windows are set under the eaves. There is a four-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullion window on the ground floor to the left of the centre, which has a hood mould above it, and a fire window in the centre. A 20th-century door, also under a wooden lintel, is located far left. The farmhouse has ashlar stacks at the ridge and end. Attached to the left is a range with a lower eaves level and a Collyweston slate roof, which includes some outbuildings and has three irregularly spaced casement windows under wooden lintels, along with a central brick stack. Inside, the centre room features a stop-chamfered spine beam and an open fireplace with a bressumer, while the room to the left also has an open fireplace with a bressumer.
