Description
62 Park Street is a mid-17th century house located on the east side of Park Street in Kings Cliffe. The building is constructed of squared coursed limestone with ashlar dressings and features a Collyweston slate roof. It was originally likely designed as a two-unit lobby-entry plan and has two storeys. The façade includes a two-window range of two-storey, five-light canted bay windows, which are adorned with ovolo-moulded stone mullions. The gable ends have ashlar parapets, and there are remnants of ashlar stacks at the ridge and end of the roof. A 20th-century extension with a porch is present at the rear, and it is noted that the entrance was probably originally located at the rear of the house. Although the interior was not inspected, it is recorded to have hollow moulded and chamfered beams, as well as remains of open fireplaces. Additionally, there is an 18th-century staircase featuring turned balusters.
