COLLYWESTON BACK LANE SK9902 (North side) Swan Farmhouse and attached 8/30 outbuildings Farmhouse and attached

GV II

Inn, now farmhouse Early C18, raised late C18/early C19, Squared coursed limestone, part rendered, with Collyweston slate roof. Originally 2-unit plan. 3 storeys. 2-window range of C19 casements, those at ground floor have C17 moulded stone surrounds, others have ashlar surrounds with gauged stone heads. Evidence of blocked window to first floor centre. Central, 6 panel, door with glazed toplights, rendered surround and flat wooden hood. Ashlar gable parapets and ashlar stacks at ends. Late C18/early C19 two-window range, attached to right, is of 2 storeys with tripartite and plain sash windows, under shallow stone arches. C20 door, to left, under similar head. C18 outbuildings attached at right angles, to right, have one plank door and one stable door and various casement openings. Differing eaves levels. Left gable abutting road rids one C20 window.
