Description

This dovecote, dating from the late 18th century, is located approximately 35 meters southeast of the Manor House in Kings Cliffe. It is constructed from squared coursed limestone and topped with a slate roof, featuring a circular plan. The building has a 19th or 20th-century doorway with a part-glazed door set under a wooden lintel, as well as a smaller original doorway. There are two 19th or 20th-century arch-headed casement windows. The dovecote is capped with a shallow conical roof that includes a glazed cupola. Inside, it contains about 670 nesting boxes made from clay tiles.
