Description
39 Broad Green is a mid-18th century public house that has been converted into a house. It is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and features a 20th-century concrete tile roof. The building has two storeys with an attic and a four-window range of 19th-century sash windows on the first floor, along with two 20th-century casements on the ground floor, all set beneath wooden lintels. The central 20th-century door has panelled reveals and a moulded wood surround with a dentilled cornice. To the far left, there is a carriage arch with a wooden lintel. The roof includes a pair of hipped dormers with casements and glazing bars. The right gable has an ashlar parapet, and there are brick stacks at the ridge and end. A 19th-century extension is located at the rear. Inside, there are some 18th-century two-panelled doors and some panelled window reveals. The building was originally a public house.
