Description

House. Dating from the mid-18th century and with 19th-century alterations, it is built of squared coursed limestone and brick, with a Collyweston slate roof. Originally designed with a three-unit plan, it now has a two-storey, three-window front. The windows are 19th-century casements set beneath wooden lintels. A pair of plank doors are located to the right of the centre, also beneath wooden lintels, and are accessed by a staircase of stone steps. Brick stacks are visible at the ridge and end of the roof. The gables were partially rebuilt in brick during the 19th century. The interior, which has not been inspected, is noted to contain ceiling beams, remains of an open fireplace, and plank doors. Deeds indicate a date from around the mid-18th century. The building is included on the register for its group value.
