Description

The building consists of a barn, stables, flat, and outbuildings attached to the south of Hall Farmhouse. It dates from the 18th and 19th centuries, with part converted to a flat in the 20th century. The structure is made of squared coursed limestone and limestone ashlar, topped with a Collyweston slate roof. It forms a courtyard layout with Hall Farmhouse.

The building is one and two storeys high. The two-storey section, attached to the right of the main front of Hall Farmhouse, features an irregular three-window range of 19th-century style casements under the eaves on the first floor, with a similar tall casement at the far left on the ground floor. There is a carriage arch with plank doors beneath a wooden lintel to the left of centre, and a half-hipped roof to the right. This section is now partly used as a flat.

An 18th-century barn is attached at right angles to the right, forming the south side of the courtyard. It has a central cart entrance on the south elevation, under a wooden lintel, flanked by triangular ventilation holes and topped with ashlar gable parapets. Late 18th-century stables are connected by a roofed link at right angles to the left of the barn, forming the east side of the courtyard. This section has a two-window range with remnants of leaded casements, and two doors on the ground floor, one of which is six-panelled, both under stone lintels with keyblocks. The east elevation of the stables is made of ashlar and features two blocked windows on the first floor. The interiors have not been inspected.
