Description
47 North Street is an early 18th-century building that stands two storeys high with attics. It is constructed from coursed dressed stone and features raised quoins, an eaves cornice, and a plinth with moulded coping. The steep stone slate roof is adorned with two flat-topped dormers and two stone chimney stacks. There is a band between the storeys, and the first floor has three windows that are early sashes with heavy glazing bars, wide moulded wooden cases, shallow reveals, stone lintels with a cut lower edge, and fluted keystones. The doorway is simple and has a similar head to the windows. This building is part of a group of listed buildings on the west side of North Street.
