Description

The buildings at 48 and 50 North Street comprise an early 19th-century pair of two-storey buildings constructed from coursed stone, with a stone slate roof and brick chimney stacks. The south gable end has been rebuilt. The front elevation has four windows to the first floor, with sash windows set within wide wooden frames and wooden lintels. The ground floor features shallow, three-light canted bays at each end, followed by doorways with good panelled doors and rectangular windows above. A large double doorway provides access to the yard. A continuous lintel and cornice runs above the ground floor. The listed buildings on the east side of North Street form a group.
