Description
This stable, located behind Vine Cottage and Thatchers Cottage, dates from the 18th century. It was likely reroofed between 1900 and 1901 by William Huckvale for Charles Rothschild. The structure is made of coursed rubblestone and features a hipped thatch roof. There are two doors, with a casement window positioned to the far left and right. This stable is part of a significant group of model estate buildings in Ashton, constructed by Charles Rothschild, and it forms a cohesive group with Vine Cottage and Thatchers Cottage.
