Description

Ivernia Cottage is a house dated 1846, as indicated by a datestone. It is built of regular coursed limestone with a slate roof. Originally, the house comprised two units, now presenting a two-storey, two-window facade. A central part-glazed door is set within a Gothic style porch, topped with pinnacles. The windows are sash windows, each set beneath a shallow stone arch with a keyblock. A Gothic style plaque displaying the date sits above the porch. The roof has a shallow gable, with ashlar gable parapets, kneelers, and ashlar stacks at the ends. A 20th-century extension has been added to the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
