Description

46 and 46A West Street is a small double-fronted house dating from the early 17th century, featuring a long wing at the rear. The building is two storeys high and constructed of ashlar stone. It has two two-storey, five-light canted bay windows with stone mullions. The ground floor window at the east end has had its two central mullions removed. The roof is gabled and covered with stone slates, and there is one upper dormer. The rear wing is plain and has a cottage style. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 36 (even) and 42 to 46A (even) as well as 52 to 98 (even).
