Description
Oundle Congregational Church, dated 1852, is a symmetrical building constructed from roughly coursed rubble and topped with a Welsh slate roof featuring red ridge tiles. The central gable rises to a stone and iron finial at the apex, with a large window beneath a single lunette. There are two flanking gabled porches, each with dripmoulds over arched moulded doorways. Buttresses positioned between the porches and the window extend beyond the gable, creating thin minaret-like structures. The side elevation includes six lancet windows with trefoil heads, with the bays separated by buttresses. This church is included as part of a group with Nos 15 to 19 (odd) and 25, as well as Nos 33 to 53 (odd), alongside the Church of St Wilfred and Paine's Almshouses.
