Description

Curzon House is an early 19th-century building fronting a much earlier structure. It is located on West Street, with its left-hand side forming a group with numbers 15 to 19 (odd), 25 and 33 to 53 (odd), along with the Church of St Wilfred, Paine's Almshouses, and Oundle Congregational Church.

The building originally possessed two two-storey bays, with one window remaining of the former left-hand bay, which has a late 19th-century shop front with a glass fascia displaying the name and number. The right-hand side features a two-storey, shallow canted bay with a wood-panelled base between the storeys and a stone base with a plinth to the ground floor. A single light window is centrally positioned on the first floor, above a recessed entrance reached by four steps. The building is constructed of ashlar, with a stone slate roof and two brick stacks at the gable ends.
