Description
62 and 64 West Street are two adjoining buildings dating from the early 17th century. They are constructed under a single roof with a pitched stone slate and feature plain verges on the gables. There is one original chimney with paired flues. The buildings are low, standing at two storeys and built of coursed rubble.
No 62 has two two-storey canted bays with five lights each, featuring stone mullions on the first floor and restored mullions on the ground floor. The central doorway is plain. No 64 has two small casement windows on the first floor and a late 19th-century shop front with consoles on the ground floor.
These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 36 (even), 42 to 46A (even), and 52 to 98 (even).
