Description

No. 42 West Street is a modest house built in 1800, featuring two storeys constructed of ashlar stone with a stone slate roof. The front of the house is symmetrical, with three hung sash windows that include glazing bars. The entrance door has six panels and is topped by a glazed rectangular fanlight. A string course runs between the storeys. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 2 to 36 (even) and 42 to 46A (even) and 52 to 98 (even).
