Description
Home Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century and 19th century, with restoration in the 20th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. The building originally had a three-unit plan and is two storeys high with an attic. The facade includes a four-window range of 19th-century style casements set under wooden lintels. There is a later inserted window on the first floor, to the right of the center, and a six-panel door, also under a wooden lintel, to the right of the center. The house has three hipped roof dormers with 19th-century style casement windows. Ashlar gable parapets and ashlar ridge and end stacks with moulded cornices add to its architectural detail. A wing at the rear is likely from the 19th century. The interior has not been inspected but probably includes remains of open fireplaces.
