Description
Carlers Farmhouse and the attached outbuilding are a late 18th-century farmhouse located on Main Street in Great Addington. The building is constructed of regular coursed limestone and features a slate roof with an L-shape plan. The main front has a three-window range, although the center window on the first floor is now blind. A central panelled door is framed by a 19th-century wooden surround with a hood. The windows are 10-paned unhorned sash types, set beneath wooden lintels. The farmhouse has a brick dentilled cornice and ashlar gable parapets, with ashlar stacks at both ends. The rear wing to the left of the main front has casement windows also under wooden lintels. The two-storey outbuilding is attached to the end of this wing. The interior has not been inspected.
