Description
Ferndale is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with an orange brick facade and has a slate roof. The building originally had a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high. It features a three-window range of casements with glazing bars, all set beneath shallow brick arches. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door, also with a similar brick arch above it. There is a stone plinth and a raised brick string course between the floors, and brick stacks are located at both ends of the house. A mid-19th century lean-to extension has been added to the rear. The interior has not been inspected, but the building is included for its group value.
