Description

The Statue of Flora, created around 1718 by J. Van Nost for Sir John Germain, is located approximately 25 metres east of the east front of Drayton House. This lead statue stands on an ashlar plinth and was originally part of the main parterre, supplied along with the Statue of Bacchus and other items at a cost of 40 pounds. The Statue of Flora forms a pair with the Statue of Bacchus, which is also situated about 25 metres east of Drayton House. The gardens surrounding the statues are included in the Historic England Register of Parks and Gardens at grade I.
