Description
Post Cottage is an 18th-century house that was restored in the 20th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and has a thatched roof. Originally, the house was arranged with a 3-unit plan and it is a single storey building with an attic. The front has a 4-window range of 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars, set beneath eyebrow dormers. There are three similar windows on the ground floor, also with 20th-century lintels. A 20th-century door, with a wooden porch, is located to the right of the centre of the building. A blocked door is visible to the far right. Brick stacks are present at the ridge and at the end of the building. A straight jamb on the left side of the building indicates a different construction of the end bay. The interior was not inspected, but it likely retains remains of an open fireplace. The building is listed for its group value.
