Description

Rose Cottage is a house, likely dating from the late 17th century and restored in the 20th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a Collyweston slate roof. Originally designed with a two-unit plan, the house is a single storey with attics. The front elevation has a two-window range of 19th-century-style casement windows, probably restored, set beneath wooden lintels. Similar windows in the attic are set within Lincolnshire dormers, also beneath wooden lintels. A central 20th-century front door is also under a wooden lintel. Brick stacks are located at each end of the building. A small 20th-century extension is present at the rear. The interior was noted to contain an open fireplace, though it has not been inspected.
